From Nicole

YOU

Twisted minds from ancient lands crowd the room. The
air is heavy and hard to breathe. I look out across
the miles of empty spaces to see you standing there
bluntly. Cool with the color of silk the floor begins
to move. The walls begin to melt with the heat of a
thousand volcanoes. The people begin to panic, but you
just stand still, determined. Slipping grounds take
toll and all power is lost. Crashing bodies tumble to
the floor. Bloody souls filled with selfishness are
dismissed. Intoxicated by beauty and mesmerized by
faith the ground begins to slow. The world stopped for
a second and I realized what I had missed.

Inspirations of what I can never be are imbedded in
my mind. Contemplating the meaning of existence, I see
a break in the sky. Reaching out to endlessness I pass
the gasses and precede outside the universe. Purple
haze passing through my soul as my soul was leaving my
corpse I once possessed. Lifelessly I obtained a new
view, a perception of centuries before me. Winding
hooves beating the ground, wheels grinding the sand
into a dusty mass, I look on into a meadow of death.
Absent minded busybodies were perspiring into oxidized
filth. Children so fragile with mangled beliefs of
their carefree minds. Come with me to this land, this
land of obscurity and spiraling fingers. Balloon-like
welts appear in my complicated mind. Introverted cords
of thought sprout and I am taken in by my mercy of
selfishness. I am then dropped down ? down to the
turmoil of chaos? the chaos that I thought was gone. I
was the one they left behind
