So Many Faces

From Bruce

So many faces

I had an interesting thought today. In life we all wear so many faces, we surround ourselves with so many different people, we are forced to wear masks that make us acceptable to the people we are around at the time. Often times our friends talk down on other friends that we have for one reason or another. And we often just laugh and join in the ridicule. Then when we are near the person whom has been the target of this abuse, we are the kind caring friend. We put on another mask and play the other aspect of the game. My only question is this. Does real friendship exist? Has it ever? People often tell me "you shouldn't care what others think" But why not? Aren't the opinions of our "friends" important to us? Even sacred?

What mask are you wearing now? It`s 3:54p.m. Do you know who you are?
